Zitro has named Albert Zorrilla as the new General Director for Spain. With over ten years of expertise in international business, marketing, and the gaming sector, Zorrilla steps into this role as the company aims to enhance its operations in one of its key markets.

Zorrilla's professional background includes not only business management but also experience with gaming regulations. He has collaborated with regional authorities and industry associations, adding depth to his qualifications.

His appointment is expected to bolster Zitro’s efforts to expand its presence in Spain, where the company already enjoys a notable market share.

In July 2024, Zitro established new departments focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. These include an ESG Corporate Committee and an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) department, both intended to drive sustainability within the company’s operations.

Additionally, the newly formed Integrated Management Systems (IMS) department ensures that Zitro adheres to ISO standards, aligning its sustainability initiatives with international regulations.

Earlier in 2024, Zitro broadened its digital gaming portfolio. The company gained approval from Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism to operate as a licensed online slot provider, enabling its digital offerings—such as Link King and Epic Kingdom—to become available on regulated platforms in Peru.

Zitro's recent efforts in Spain and Latin America, combined with its emphasis on sustainability, underline its continuous drive to sustain and expand its market leadership. The company has also strengthened its presence in Latin America by securing partnerships with PlayCity Casino and launching new products in Panama and Mexico.
